The best way to see Coniston Water is by boat and foot. Combine to two and you will truly experience this wonderful area on a fantastic day out. Suggested walks are for both the west and east shores of Coniston Water.

Before starting it is essential to check the timetableto ensure the launch will be calling at your intended boarding jetty. Coniston Water and surrounding areas are a haven for waterfowl - see how many you can spot as you enjoy your walk.

Walk - Torver to Coniston
Board the launch at Coniston jetty.
Cruise to Torver jetty.
Walk back to Coniston on lakeshore field footpaths.(approx. 50 minute walk)

Walk - Sunny Bank to Torver
Board the launch at Coniston jetty.
Cruise to Sunny Bank.
Walk along lakeside track to Torver jetty. (approx. 50 minute walk)
Return by boat or continue on foot to Coniston.

Walk - Lake Bank to Sunny Bank
Board the launch at Coniston jetty.
Cruise to Lake Bank.
Walk to Sunny Bank on road, footpaths and farmland. (approx. 60 minute walk) Return by foot or continue by foot to Torver or Coniston.

Refreshments & picnics
Consiton Boatlandings or Bluebird Café or Picnics.
Lakeshore picnics from Sunny Bank to Torver.
