Lake District Holocaust Project
The Lake District Holocaust Project and the permanent exhibition “From Auschwitz to Ambleside” are situated within Windermere Library. The exhibition tells the story of the three hundred child Holocaust Survivors who came from Eastern Europe to the Lake District in 1945 in order to begin their recovery from years of unimaginable suffering. -
